It is an absolutely incredible story, says Timothy Green Beckley editor of the Conspiracy Journal. Since the mid to late 1970s there have been all sorts of rumors about an underground laboratory beneath the town of Dulce.
The UFO Hunters show on the History Channel recently featured the entire saga of what has been taking place on Native American soil, and a few days later George Noory and Coast to Coast AM plunged head first trying to make sense out of the various accounts that have surfaced.
Beckley admits that it is difficult to pin point exactly when this macabre saga started to develop. But he gives credit to an engineer named Paul Bennewitz for getting the ball rolling when Bennewitz says he was called to the area when aliens started to communicate with him over a radio receiver. He had been directed to Dulce after observing UFOs over Kirkland Air Force Bases nuclear storage facility. Standing near the tall cliffs outside Dulce, Bennewitz took a series of photographs showing unidentified craft diving into the mountains through what he claimed were entrance ways that could be opened and closed.
Around the same time there was a dramatic increase in animal mutilations in the vicinity and at least one person, Christa Tilton came forward to claim that she was abducted and taken to this subterranean facility. Her full report and all the information which makes for a startling cosmic Dragnet story are included in this far reaching work.
One individual in the U.S. military who was involved in the early stages of this investigation claims he engaged in hand to hand combat with ETs who had taken over level seven of the Dulce Base after a conflict with our soldiers. Another person involved in this epic committed "suicide" -- or was it murder? -shortly after the "Dulce affair" was made public.

Serious look at a controversial subject

I thank the editor of this collection--Timothy Beckley--for bringing together the most pertinent writings and interviews about the Dulce "underground alien base." I have been trying to get a copy of Christa Tilton's "The Bennewitz Papers" for years, with some sellers charging a ridiculous amount of money for it. Her paper (or "booklet") is contained in its entirety in this collection, and it features interesting letters sent by Bennewitz to Clifford Stone. Plus, in Tilton's book we get first-hand information about the "aliens" that Bennewitz observed and communicated with at Dulce(?).
Don't be turned off by the silly "B-movie-style" cover and ads. I don't know why Beckley chose such a format. Plus, much of the book contains pages that were obviously reproduced, as the quality of the pictures and print is often second-rate. But, as with all books, "you cannot judge a book by its cover." I am giving this 5 stars solely for the content. If you are a person who must know all there is to know about the "Dulce base," then this book is required reading. Of course, I cannot vouch for the veracity of any of the material, as much of it is theoretical, not factual. But, this is the case with almost all books on UFO's and aliens.

Trouble Reported Below Ground in Dulce, New Mexico

Christa Tilton's Bennewitz Papers was written in 1991. Material about Bennewitz first appeared in book form in 1986's UFO Crash At Aztec. Tilton's writings for the Crux newsletter appeared in Val Valerian's Matrix II. The Bennewitz Papers perhaps has some historical interest, but no evidence is provided to suggest that there is an underground base at Dulce, New Mexico. An interview with someone who reportedly worked there, Thomas Castello, is included. William Hamilton also included the words of Castello in his book Cosmic Top Secret, but there is more of Castello in the interview with "Branton" in Timothy Beckley's reissue of The Bennewitz Papers. I think it's fair to say it's crazy stuff. Aliens reportedly use cattle parts and blood as a "formula to keep them alive and for use in the growing vats, and for artificial wombs." Castello said the Dulce base began in the late 1930s, yet cattle mutilations only began in earnest in the 1970s, so what were the aliens doing in the meantime? Castello doesn't say. Anyway, presumably he considers the situation serious because he refers to the "HUNDREDS OF CHILDREN, WOMEN AND MEN ADDED TO THAT PLACE EVERY MONTH".
Christa Tilton recommends a paper called The Controllers by Martin Cannon. She wonders if the American government somehow beams alien images into people's mind from some type of implant. She recounts her unpleasant encounter with reported "Aviary" contact Bill Moore and wonders if "Aviary" insiders Scott Jones and Claiborne Pell were involved in dream implantation experiment on "certain susceptible individuals". Inevitably, AFOSI's Richard Doty features prominently.
In the absence of evidence, ultimately the book is a pointless exercise. Did President Truman visit the "Lower Realms" of Mount Shasta in the capacity of a "High Archon" on earth? Are Pleiadean-backed Sirian humanoids in conflict with Orion-backed Sirian reptiloids? Anyone interested in questions such as these might like this book.
